A Study of The Activty of Urease on The Chinese Medicine and Grain Produced in Korea



Abstract
A comparative study on the connection between the activity of Urease and the content of protein was carried out on the several kinds of Chinese medicine and the grains.
In Chinese medicine, it was found that the activity of Urease was especially great in Akebiae Lignum and was decreased in the order of Taraxaci Herba, Maydis Stigma, Allium Cepa, and Plantaginis Semen and the content of protein was decreased in the order of Plantaginis Semen, Taraxaci Perba, Maydis Stigma, Allium Cepa and Akebiae Lignum.
Thus, the order of the activity of Urease was not according with the content of protein.
In grains, the activity of Urease was decreased in the order of Soy-bean, Small red-bean, Small green-pea barley and rice and was proportioned the content of protein.
